When most people hear the word sticker, they don’t often think of ways to decorate their home. Stickers are usually associated with kids, classrooms or a freebie you get when buying something in a store. I’ll admit, when I first joined the team here at Vinyl Revolution, I was pretty curious to find out what this new trend of decorating with stickers was all about. Getting creative with wall space
A lot of things come into play when you’re getting ready to decorate your home. Furniture, color scheme and, of course, what’s going up on the walls. Stickers are a fun and easy way to tailor your decoration ideas to your home. There’s an unlimited amount of creative potential too! Here’s how I first started to learn about this idea.
I started off with what seemed like a limitless amount of stickers. I stopped to think about all the places in my home that needed some extra love and attention. I started out using stickers on walls that had big blank spaces. Some stickers were perfect as the center of attention. Others complemented an existing arrangement: a great way to balance out any room that was missing a finishing touch.
I was surprised at how quickly I could make every day spaces a little more interesting. The best part of the decorating process was that I could do almost anything. The stickers and decals came in a variety of sizes and designs so I could find the perfect fit for each space. The most exciting part was the fact that I could put these on everything (and I really mean everything).
Now I know what you’re thinking. What about the damage from all these stickers everywhere? No one likes having a bunch of holes in their wall. You definitely get those from hanging things like picture frames. So after having some decals and stickers up for a while I decided to see the marks they left behind when I removed them. Not only were they really easy to remove, they didn’t leave a trace!
