FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Vinyl Revolution FridgeWraps are built to stand the test of time. Our FridgeWraps are printed on high performance sign vinyl guaranteed to last outdoors for up to 7 years. They last even longer inside and will most likely outlast your fridge! Each FridgeWrap is coated in a scratch-resistant protective laminate that stops the colours from fading and shields it from water, sun and oil. This makes them ultra durable and very easy to clean.
FridgeWraps are highly unique and customised to your fridge. The cost of your FridgeWrap depends on three things: 1) the size of your fridge; 2) the type of artwork you want on your fridge; and 3) your location if you want a professional fitting.
Single colours are cheaper than specialty finishes and custom artwork. Small drinks fridges are cheaper than large double-door freezers. For example, you can wrap small drinks fridge in a single colour for around £75 (excluding install). You can get a custom front door wrap shipped for your fridge freezer unit for around £150. A large double-door fridge with custom artwork or branding is around £300 (excluding install). Since each FridgeWrap is so unique, we do not offer standardised pricing. Provide some basic info and we'll get back to you with a quote ASAP.
Professional installs for FridgeWraps are only available in the UK and start at £150. The final cost depends on your location. The unit price for FridgeWraps (and install cost) goes down for bulk orders. The more you order, the more you save!
You want your FridgeWrap to look amazing from all angles and last for a long time. We don’t wrap refrigerator handles because vinyl does not deal well with very curved surfaces subject to a lot of wear and tear. If possible, we recommend removing the handles before wrapping your fridge so that you get a perfect vinyl FridgeWrap that will stand the test of time.
FridgeWraps totally transform almost any fridge you can imagine. You can vinyl wrap your fridge freezers, standalone freezers, large American-style double-door fridges, small drinks fridges, and even wine coolers. Refrigerators with very curved surfaces like SMEG fridges require special cast vinyl. This is trickier to vinyl wrap but our professional fitters do this day in and day out. You name it. We’ll FridgeWrap it!
PREPARING FOR YOUR QUOTE
Identify the brand and model number of your refrigerator.
FridgeWraps are customised to fit your fridge perfectly. The more information we have about your refrigerator, the better your FridgeWrap will fit.
Measure the dimensions (height x width x depth) of your fridge in centimeters (cm).
Each custom FridgeWrap is unique. The more accurate the dimensions you provide, the better your FridgeWrap will fit and the longer it will last.
Choose if you want a FULL or FRONT DOOR FridgeWrap.
Full FridgeWraps transform all visible sides of your refrigerator (front and both sides). This is perfect for standalone fridges where you want to completely transform your fridge’s appearance. Front Door FridgeWraps only cover the front door of your fridge. Wrapping just the front door of your refrigerator is great for fridges built into kitchen cabinets or if you’re on a tight budget.
Check if your fridge handles can be removed.
We don’t wrap refrigerator handles because the vinyl is likely to fail on such a curved and heavily-used surface. Removing your handles before application means you get a perfect looking FridgeWrap every time. Can’t remove your fridge handles? Don’t worry. Our professional fitters can work around them and still achieve amazing results. Please just let us know.
Send us your postcode if you want a quote including professional installation.
FridgeWraps are tricky to install due to the complex curved edges of most fridges. We offer professional installation services for our FridgeWraps. This is the best way to guarantee a stunning finish every time. On a tight budget or feel confident fitting it yourself? Watch our detailed tutorial video for fitting FridgeWraps on our How To page.
Describe what you want in detail. Attach high-resolution artwork or reference images if possible.
The creative possibilities of vinyl are endless. There’s no limit to what we can print on or cut into vinyl. Custom sizes of stock designs from our shop, simple colours, complex custom artwork or even photographs. Describe exactly what you want in detail and always attach the highest resolution artwork (or vector) that you have available. This helps you get a quick and accurate quote.
Don’t have artwork? No problem. Our designers can make it for you as long as you describe what you want in detail.
Send vector artwork if you have it.
Your artwork must be in vector format for custom vinyl decals or lettering. If you don’t have a vector file, we can help you make one. You will need to send the highest possible resolution image file you have for this to work well.
Attach the highest resolution file you have.
Large custom wraps and vinyl stickers require high resolution images if you don’t have vector artwork. Make sure to send the highest resolution file you have available to you. This ensures you get the highest quality result possible.
A good rule of thumb is this. Want something 10 cm x 10 cm or larger? Your file should be at least 1 MB large. If not, it is probably very low resolution and will not print well.
Follow these technical specifications to get the best results.
Vector files (ai/svg/eps) in CMYK colour format are the best files to send. CMYK format ensures you get perfect colour matching between your custom print and the artwork in your document. Vector files mean we can scale your artwork to any size without losing any quality.
Make your file to scale when possible and set the document units to millimeters. All cut paths for die-cut stickers should be saved in a separate layer titled ‘CutContour’ and set to 1 pt stroke with a spot colour of bright magenta.
